On this experimental course, you will draw, paint and print in often unfamiliar ways in order to catch the unexpected. Through experimentation and reflection, you will collate a personal collection of work. .

This one term course is designed to help students to develop their bookbinding skills. You will already have some experience of binding techniques and some knowledge of tools, materials and equipment in order to benefit from this workshop-style class. There will be the opportunity to work on your own projects, or to practice skills in which you feel less confident in order to enable you to progress to higher level courses. Not suitable for beginners.

Practice working with silk or fine or any luxury fabric & sew a summer dress or party wear from a pattern. Learn how to cut, sew and work neatly. Suitable for those with some sewing experience.

Explore a range of materials and challenging approaches to develop your creative potential in drawing, informed by artists contexts. Building on your previous experience, develop your observational drawing skills for greater accuracy and complexity as well as learning to manipulate composition, surface and mark-making to create dynamic, expressive drawings.
