This course aims to improve your intermediate level competence in all skills so that you can communicate more effectively and confidently with Arabic speakers.
What will we cover?
Topics: Modern Arab world and its history, talk about Arab countries and cities such as Bagdad and Cairo. Grammar: Case system, case distinctions marked by letters, non-human plurals, a review of prepositions, verb forms and using “qad with present verb.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Students should have completed Arabic 3 upper module 3, or studied Arabic for approximately 4-5 years recently or have developed an equivalent competence in the language.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
