What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Beginner level - This is a brief introduction to Aromatherapy. No prior experience or knowledge of essential oils needed. Curiosity, enthusiasm and willingness to participate.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This will be an experiential workshop with some theory taught via a presentation; much of the workshop will be hands on and practical. You’ll be in small groups for discussions and in pairs for practical elements of the workshop.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
There are no additional costs. Handouts are provided.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
If the taster sparks an interest, you may further your knowledge of essential oils by enrolling onto Introduction to Aromatherapy or go onto accredited courses in Complementary Therapies. You may also enjoy Introduction to Indian Head Massage or Reflexology.
Antonello is a holistic and complementary therapist, professionally trained in Essenian Healing, Auric Reading, Aromatherapy, Swedish massage, and Reflexology. Mentored by Essenian pioneers Anne Givaudan and Antoine Achram, Antonello understands how imbalances lead to disease, how healing can take place, and the many ways in which a person can be supported through this process. He has been practising since 2014 motivated by the desire to play his part in bringing more light, love and understanding to people’s lives. Antonello is also a singer songwriter, using his healing voice in songs and Essenian healing therapies, and working with vibrational healing and healing sounds. He currently teaches Essenian healing and Aromatherapy at City Lit

Jan has been a practising therapist for over fifteen years, and a tutor for ten years. She practises nutrition, holistic massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, Indian head massage, Thai yoga massage, Japanese facial rejuvenation and pregnancy massage. She currently teaches massage, reflexology, manual lymphatic drainage, facials, stone therapy, nutrition, and anatomy and physiology courses at City Lit and other London colleges. Jan is passionate about health and wellbeing. In her spare time, she enjoys increasing her holistic knowledge, cooking, playing tennis, travelling and theatre.
