Make and publish handmade books and fanzines, learn about graphic design, display and sell your products, show your work on Instagram and social media.

Description

What is the course about?

Design products for sale, from a visual idea to a finished object and take the product to market. The class will work on a design project, learn basic small business skills, find retail opportunities for selling the product and develop a social media presence on Pinterest and other social media sites.

2D and 3D design
Team building
Small business skills
Marketing
Social media.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Produce objects based on design ideas
Sell your design objects
Upload your work on Pinterest and other social media apps
Work as part of a team.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

The course is for students with learning disabilities who have an ability or interest in design and social entterprise.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

- Group work
- Pair work
- Practical exercises
- Tutor demonstration.
