It is designed to give you the best possible introduction to a wide range of materials, techniques and processes, and to support you in identifying and developing your creative interests and thinking. Validated by the University of the Arts London Awarding Body, it is an internationally recognised qualification with a UCAS tariff that enables you to apply directly to University.
The course fee is £5421, plus an upfront fee of £100 payable at the time of your enrolment. If you are unable to pay the course fees, you can choose to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan from Student Finance England (SFE) to help cover the course fee, repayable after the course ends. A deposit of £200 is also payable to secure your place (refundable after you complete the course). Location on this date: Mixed Mode (Online and Onsite)Build an individual fine art practice by exploring painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and contextual studies, across a series of structured projects in live on-line classes allowing you to participate from home or in your own workspace. You will be expected to keep up with current art practice and exhibitions, on-line and/or in your locality. Weekly on-line group tutorials will help you adopt an independent and experimental approach to your work. The course can be taken for personal development, or act as a bridge between adult short courses and entry to undergraduate and postgraduate courses. You will need to provide your own basic materials, a list is provided but to start with in weeks 1 & 2 - just some paper and charcoal!
