Metalwork Courses

Get inspired by City Lit’s sculpture courses in metalwork, which take place in our purpose-built, well-equipped sculpture studio in the heart of London. Metalwork courses at City Lit give you the essential skills needed to manipulate the material to make your own metal sculpture. From cutting, bending, forming and drilling sheet metal, to joining by bolting, riveting, soldering and welding. A range of tools are available including a plasma cutter and welding equipment.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner who wants to refresh or develop their skills and knowledge, our courses give you the opportunity to take your work to the next level. Our hands-on courses are taught by specialist tutors whose teaching is enriched by their own artistic practice. You will be fully supported through practical demonstrations to the group and one-to-one guidance, in a friendly and highly creative environment.
