Release the inner child in you, studying one of our short courses or workshops in children’s book illustration. Bring those creative and imaginative ideas to life and delve deep into the magical world of children’s books.
Our courses will support students in developing the drawing skills required for illustrating, learning the basis of character design, narrative illustration techniques and how to plan out a children’s picture book from start to finish. Move designs from sketches onto the computer using the latest Adobe software and even learn how to draw with a Wacom tablet.
Taught by professional children’s book writers and illustrators, students will be guided through a series of practical assignments with each session delivered in one of our contemporary art and design studios that offers student’s opportunities to collaborate, share ideas and build their children’s book projects with expert guidance.
Students studying children’s book illustration often progress onto our advanced courses developing their designs further, digitally animating characters and stories or learning how to take their children’s books into commercial commissions and move into the industry as a freelance children’s book illustrator.
