Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love.

    Make wonderful drawings in colour and black and white from a range of flowers and plants. Taking the rich and varied history of drawing plants and flowers in different traditions for inspiration. Working with the expressive and colourful medium of both soft and oil pastels, you will respond to the colours and textures of plants and flowers. Suitable for all levels, this course involves making composition studies, leading up to a final, larger, more resolved piece.

  9. Introduction to screenprinting

  10. Bookbinding improvers’ workshop

    This one term course is designed to help students to develop their bookbinding skills. You will already have some experience of binding techniques and some knowledge of tools, materials and equipment in order to benefit from this workshop-style class.   11. Contemporary watercolour painting projects

    Through a set of short projects inspired by contemporary practitioners and their contribution to the uniqueness of the medium, the course will help you expand your understanding of watercolour and enable you to make informed choices in making personal work.
