Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love. New for 2020 we now offer a creative portfolio of live online courses as well as our face-face studio based teaching.

    This Handmade Sketchbook Course will take your ideas and personal stories as a starting point and explore them in different visual directions, through drawing, painting, collage and mono-printing techniques. You will experiment with different papers and surfaces, through layering, folding, tearing, soaking, weaving, sewing etc. This series of rich and varied pages will be brought together to make a very personal and expressive handmade sketchbook.

  4. Frame loom weaving: colour and weave techniques

    Frame loom weaving has so much potential aside from the usual tapestry techniques. We will be developing



    elements of frame loom weaving with ‘traditional’ on loom weaving methods in order to create a collection of graphic



    contemporary, striking and colourful fabrics that are normally associated with the fashion industry. We will sample



    these methods on a smaller scale to reach the potential for developing ideas for interior, fine art or for fashion markets.
