Our range of part-time, weekend and evening art and design classes are taught by successful artists and practitioners to ensure you get the skills, knowledge and experience you want and deserve. From experimental painting and drawing to contemporary jewellery making, there is sure to be a course for you. Study from 1 day to 2 years, whether you are a complete beginner or a practising artist preparing for an MA. Our courses are designed with you in mind, so you get to spend more time doing what you love. New for 2020 we now offer a creative portfolio of live online courses as well as our face-face studio based teaching.

  4. Cut, stab and etch: printmaking with linocuts

  9. Get skills in: collagraph printmaking techniques

    Make and print a collagraph exploiting texture and colour using readily available and simple materials with a low environmental impact.   14. Painting studio: focus on colour

  15. Jewellery: raising repousee and fold-forming
    Evening
    Course start date:  Fri 29 Apr 2022

    Tutors:  Rebecca Ilett
    Learn the traditional techniques of repousse (pushed metal) and fold forming. You will learn the basics of the traditional method of creating a raised design or pattern using punches and hammers to form flat sheet and explore the use of single and multiple folds in sheet metal to help you create your own 3-dimensional forms. Emphasis will be on experimentation of the demonstrated techniques with copper, as the organic processes create a wide variety of unique results.
