Adam Hogarth is an artist based in London. Adam completed a BA Hons in Fine Art at Northumbria University and an MFA in Fine Art Printmaking at The Royal College of Art, from 20016-2020 he has been the Printmaking Fellow at The Royal Academy of Arts. After graduating from his MFA Adam worked for Advanced Graphics London, a fine art print publishers, specialising in screenprint and woodblock printing. In the three years working there he produced prints for some of the leading artists and galleries in the UK. He is currently the head screenprinter at Thames-Side Print Studio. Adam's practice is multi-diciplinary, although his strengths lie in print. His work tackles notions of Auto-Destruction, an arts movement that gained notoriety in the 50's and 60's by the artist Gustav Metzger. Adam has exhibited nationally and internationally, including: Tate Britain, The Royal Academy of Arts, ICA, DAnielle Arnaud Gallery, The Finland Print Triennale and Kobe Sans University (Japan). At City Lit Adam teaches screenprinting where his classes accomodate a variety of students from beginner to advanced.
