What is the course about?
Developing knowledge of Biblical Hebrew grammar and the ability to translate Biblical Hebrew.
What will we cover?
Hitpael verbs, Polel and Polal verbs, the book of Ruth.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
Identify most verb forms and translate straightforward Biblical texts.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You will need to have completed Biblical Hebrew Level 1 and Level 2, Modules 1 and 2, or studied Biblical Hebrew at Beginners and Intermediate level.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
By studying the textbook and Biblical verses in class. You will be asked to do homework to help you remember the grammar studied in class and to develop your vocabulary.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
The Bible texts we translate will be supplied and you will need to bring them each week. You will need to bring the
textbook each week: The First Hebrew Primer Third Edition: The Adult Beginners Path to Biblical Hebrew by Simon
Resnikoff and Motzkin, published by EKS, California. The sole importer to the UK is John Trotter, Manor House
