What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Translate more fluently, recognising more verb forms.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You need to have completed Biblical Hebrew 1 and 2 or an equivalent Beginners and Intermediate course in Biblical Hebrew (at least two years of study). As this course is taught in English, please read the outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support with your English skills to help you take part fully in this class.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Reading Bible texts, translating and analysing and textbook grammar information. You will be asked to prepare the texts beforehand. As the course is taught in English, please read the outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support with your English skills to help you take part fully in this class.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

You will need to bring the textbook each week: The First Hebrew Primer Third Edition: The Adult Beginners Path to Biblical Hebrew by Simon Resnikoff and Motzkin, published by EKS, California. The sole importer to the UK is John Trotter, Manor House Books, www.manorhousebooks.co.uk 80 East End Rd, London N3 2SY, 020 8349 9484. The textbook costs £29.50 from the shop and can also be ordered from them via amazon.co.uk at £32.50 plus postage. It is also available slightly more cheaply - approx £27 - if you order it via amazon.com (NOT amazon.co.uk).

When I've finished, what course can I do next?
