What is the course about?
The aim of the course is to revise and consolidate students’ basic knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) with an emphasis on speaking and listening.
What will we cover?
A revision of introducing oneself, going to shops, telling and asking the time, describing daily activities, ordering in a restaurant.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
Near beginners, for students who have a sound knowledge of basic Chinese and have studied for at least one year recently. Please note that this is not a complete beginner's course and is aimed at revision for students who have studied for around three terms or equivalent.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Communicative teaching: emphasis on speaking/listening and repetition. Questions and answers. Individual, pair and group work, role play. Some homework expected.

Chinese 2 lower: module 1 in September. Please enrol as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
