What is the course about?

Continue developing your Mandarin and boost your oral communication skills. Suitable if you have completed Chinese 2 upper: module 1 or equivalent.

What will we cover?

Topics: Weather, Chinese festivals, places of interest in China, directions
Grammar: a revision of grammar points, character writing and pronunciation

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Students should have completed Chinese 2 upper: module 1, or studied Chinese for approximately 2 years recently or have developed an equivalent competence in the language.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

This course combines the tutor's own materials with content from Discover China Student's Book 1. Please check with your teacher before purchasing, as some tutors may or may not use this book in their lessons.
