What is the course about?

This course will help you revise your lower intermediate level of Chinese, both spoken and written.

What will we cover?

A revision of date and time, daily activities, ports and hobbies, travel in China, transport, directions, health, television and radio programmes. Consolidation of character writing.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

- Consolidate vocabulary (units 1-34)
- Consolidation of more complicated grammatical points (most grammar points are at HSK level 3 and level 4)
- Listening practice
- Working with HSK3 Exam papers.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You should have completed Chinese 4 or have studied Chinese for at least 5 years or equivalent.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

This is a course at an upper intermediate level. It is an ideal follow-up for students who have previously completed level 4 course at the City Lit (learning Chinese continuously for at least 5 years) or who have acquired an equivalent knowledge of the language at an intermediate level.
It is essential that you can read Chinese characters and that you have knowledge of grammar terminology.
