What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You should have completed Chinese 5 or have studied Chinese for at least 5-6 years or equivalent.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This is a course at an upper intermediate level. It is an ideal follow-up for students who have previously completed level 5 course at the City Lit (learning Chinese continuously for at least 5-6 years) or who have acquired an equivalent knowledge of the language at an upper intermediate level. It is essential that you can read Chinese characters and that you have knowledge of grammar terminology.
