What is the course about?
Get to know some Chinese characters focusing on the earliest form of character ‘oracle bone script’. We will invite you to spend some time concentrating on drawing Chinese characters.
Using the 5 elements, we willl discuss the balance of life in Chinese ideology.
What will we cover?
We will be showing you some images connected to nature, e.g. the sun, the moon, the river, the tree, the horse, the fish, the house, etc
We will introduce the connection Chinese people have with the 5 elements: metal, wood, water, fire and earth.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- talk about the ideology behing chinese characters.
- understand the root and the connection of Chinese ideology with the 5 elements.
- use writing basic Chinese characters to relax and connect with your surrounding.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This worshop is for anyone who is interested and willing to have a got!

You will be asked to actively participate.
