What is the course about?

This course aims to provide participants with the relevant skills and a portfolio piece to apply to a position in the world of UX/UI. The course will be introducing concepts such as cognition and technology, ideas and solution generation, accessibility guidelines and information architecture. You'll gain knowledge of UX/UI methods such as User testing, Design guidelines, Data gathering techniques, Personas and prototyping.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Use UX & visual design (UI) methodologies to identify problems, research solutions and create visual prototypes to test users.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

Basic computer skills. Useful to know but not essential: An understanding of User Experience and awareness of design. Awareness of general design tools such as Adobe suite, Figma.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

This is an online course taught by two tutors one for UX and one for UI. Lessons will alternate between UX and UI, two lessons a week. Some lessons will have both tutors present. There will be work assigned outside of class to create a stronger project. The more you work outside of class the more you’ll be able to push your portfolio piece and learn more.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

You need access to a laptop/computer that can run Chrome browser efficiently.
