Fantastic Fizz will introduce you to the different methods of making Sparkling Wines- from Prosecco to Cava, Cremant to Champagne and the delicate delights of Moscato.Taste 6 sparkling wines and learn how the differentt method gives each one its special character and style.

How to describe the taste of sparkling wine.

What will we cover?

Tank method Sparkling wines –Prosecco and Moscato
Traditional method sparkling wines – Champagne and Cremant
How to describe the taste of sparkling wines.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

List the main differences between sparkling wines make by the Tank method and those made by the traditional method
Write a simple tasting note describing a sparkling wine.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

The course is open to beginners and those with some knowledge of wine.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

The course is taught through tasting the wines. There will be recommendations for other wines for you to try if you wish.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

There are no other costs – tasting glasses and spittoons will be provided.
You may wish to bring a notebook, pen and water, and possibly some plain crackers to refresh your palate between wines. Please avoid strong perfume or aftershave.
