This course is a continuation of the beginners Danish course, building upon and expanding basic Danish conversational skills as well as increasing knowledge of Danish culture.
What will we cover?
- Verbs in the imperative - Asking where somebody is going, where somebody is - Asking if somebody would like to do/have something and answering - The use and function of modal verbs - Speaking about where somebody lives - Personal and possessive pronouns - Reflexive verbs.
What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
- Use common verbs in the present tense, infinitve and imperative - Ask and answer where somebody is going, using "hen/henne" - Ask and answer "What would you like?/What do you want?" using the appropriate modal verb - Have a conversation about where somebody lives - Use personal and possessive pronouns with a degree of confidence.

This course is for near beginners - students should have completed Danish beginners: module 2 or have equivalent experience (i.e. have studied actively for at least 33 classroom hours).

Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material. Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
