English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) Courses in London

Improve your English at City Lit. We have courses from beginner to advanced levels, with qualifications and without, in the day and in the evening.

All new students need to do an online assessment so we can put you in the right course. If you know which course you want to do, go to the course page on our website, and click 'Start Assessment'. You will need to enter your email address and create a password.

If you do not know which course you want to do, complete the online assessment featured on the Grammar in practice: upper intermediate level 1-2 page, we will then be able to advise you which course would be most suitable.

When you have completed your assessment, please email ian.wollington@citylit.ac.uk to let us know. Please put ‘ONLINE ASSESSMENT’ in the email subject line.

You can now study English with our online face-to-face courses. You will need a computer with a microphone, a camera and the internet. It is best to use Google Chrome as your web browser. Your tutor will send you information on how to join your online class after you have enrolled.

If you would like further information about courses, please call 0207 492 2511 or email  English@citylit.ac.uk.
