- How to think in maths: problem-solving, analysing, making decisions (L1+)Course start date: Tue 1 Mar 2022
Location on this date: KS - Keeley StreetHow are you going to improve or refine your maths? Will this happen by simply applying the rules your teacher gives you? How will you know that you really understand the maths you are doing? On this course, you will practise thinking mathematically. You will work on 'rich' tasks where you need to problem-solve, ask the right questions and think your way through conundrums, puzzles and other issues requiring mathematical approaches. The problems and their solutions will drive the maths. You will become absorbed by the issue and, with your tutor's support, you will improve your ability to analyse, approach situations with a mathematical mind and make effective decisions both inside and outside work.
