An inspirational Christmas floral demonstration of unique and skilfully created festive arrangements. These demonstrations by award winning Flora Artist and National Plant Collector, Don Billington will keep you captivated and energised by his artistry and skill.

What is the course about?

The Christmas season comes alive during an enjoyable afternoon of inspirational floral demonstrations that will infuse you with a festive passion to create your own seasonal décor, accompanied by a Christmas wine, sherry and port tasting session. This demonstration of 4 to 5 skillfully arranged festive floral displays using traditional Christmas flowers and foliage will inpsire and encourage you to try it out at home or find more opportunities to study flower arranging in more depth. All attendees have the chance to win a display in a raffle and take it home to enjoy. You’ll also be able to taste a wonderful variety of tradtional Christmas red and fortified wines during the break, complements of the City Lit!

• A beautiful variety of flora
• Exciting techniques
• Floral displays
• The organisation of NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arranging Societies; their motto is Fun, Friendship and Flowers and this class will be an entertaining session, too.
• Christmas wines.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

• Appreciate the art of display
• Name types of flora
• Dscover traditional festive, seasonal and other arrangements.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

You do not need any particular skills, it is for all levels of flower arranging, to continue in the profession you will need appropriate qualifications to advance in Floral Design.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

It will be a visual demonstration and hopefully you will be inspired by the demonstration to take a course leading to a qualification and further employment in a new direction.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

No additional cost, a camera to take photographs for future reference.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

Join your local NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies), watch, learn and become more involved in flower arranging.
