What is the course about?

This practical introductory course explores the two vital pillars of nutritional therapy: stress management and blood sugar balance. In this course, you will look at how your stress response system and your metabolism work together. We will look at key organs and learn what they do and you will discover exactly how stress hormones like cortisol interact with your blood sugar levels.

You will identify where sugar spikes and stress occur in a normal routine and explore specific foods and simple lifestyle changes that can calm your nervous system and stabilize your energy.

What will we cover?

  • Organs in the body and their importance in stress and how the body works
  • What happens in the body when we are stressed
  • What happens in the body when we have carbs/sugar
  • What foods help support stress and blood sugar balancing
  • Lifestyle changes that can support overall health

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

  • Name and locate the key organs and glands essential for maintaining a healthy metabolism.
  • Describe how the HPA axis triggers your body’s physical response to daily stress.
  • Explain the connection between stable blood sugar levels and consistent daytime energy.
  • Identify which specific daily habits or food choices trigger blood sugar spikes and cause adrenal overload.
  • Select foods and practical lifestyle habits that directly support metabolic and adrenal balance.
