    Are you excited by the language of Maths? Do you want to understand how numbers, symbols and formulas enable us to identify and solve problems as well as find patterns and structure in the world. This course will extend your analytical and problem-solving skills and help you develop logic to plan and manage activities. A Maths GCSE is one of the most commonly required qualifications by employers and universities and by achieving it you will enhance your job and education prospects. Please note the Friday classes are not every Friday, but approximately every third week..



    You MUST have passed the Maths GCSE (Introduction) course (see website) and completed a pre-course assessment before being accepted onto this GCSE course.   2. English Functional Skills (Level 2)

    Do you want to develop your English skills and gain a qualification? Do you need to show employers you have a good level of reading and writing and can speak well in a variety of situations. A level 2 functional skills qualification is equivalent to a GCSE and often required by employers. The course will develop your analytical skills, ensure you are confident in the most essential areas of literacy, and you will come to appreciate the variety and richness of English language use. You must have passed the Getting Ready for English Functional Skills (level 2) course before you do this Functional Skills qualification. You will need to do an initial pre-course assessment.   4. Maths for life (entry 3)

    Do you need to become more confident in maths in your daily life, whether making calculations with money, understanding figures, charts and graphs in newspapers or online or measuring areas? This course will help you with the essential maths you need to participate, make progress and express yourself in society today. You will work with whole numbers, fractions and decimal numbers and use maths to solve problems involving time, money and measurement. You will learn about the properties of shapes, both 2D and 3D and how to read, interpret and comment on information in tables and charts. By the end of the course, you will be much more aware of how much maths there is in everyday life and how maths can help you.

    Do you want to develop your mathematical skills and knowledge to solve problems and make decisions? The Functional Skills Level 2 Maths qualification shows employers and others that your maths skills are at a good level and that you can use these to solving complex problems in a variety of situations.This introductory course will make sure you know what to expect from, and are ready to start, the full accredited course.
