This course will aim to consolidate and further develop your elementary knowledge of French. You will learn new structures and vocabulary around different topics. You will also learn more about the French speaking world. The emphasis will be placed on speaking and listening.

- language point: revision and consolidation of the present tense; the passé composé; introduction to the imperfect; time markers; the interrogative; present tense of verbs savoir and connaitre; the imperative; jobs; skills; attributes; seasons and months; clothes; colours; body parts.
- culture: French NGOs; French clichés.

Suitable for those who have recently studied French for about a year or who have an equivalent knowledge of the language. Please note this course goes at a slower pace than our standard courses. This course offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere which will enable you to learn at your own pace. Your tutor will use a range of teaching strategies to ensure that you gradually build up your confidence in speaking and listening. Throughout the course, you will receive learning tips on how to speak in groups more effectively and independently (without relying on your notes). You will practise listening to spoken language in ways that will maximise your understanding. There will be activities and advice to help you retain vocabulary.
