What is the course about?
The course is to ease you onto reading full length contemporary books in French. To learn about authors and understand the scene behind the writing.

What will we cover?
The topic discussed will depend on the book chosen.
You will develop your French reading skills, develop you vocabulary and understanding of grammar / writing style.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- to read a short book in French
- understand about certain written style
- discuss an author.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
You will need to have at study French for at least 6 years. You need to have good oral skill as the course is delivered in French and participation in French will be expected.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
You will need to read passages of the book chosen between sessions and also read some extracts material regarding the book and author. You do not have to read the book fully before the start of the course.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
Book to buy prior to start of the course. You will be reading the book between course sessions - so no prior reading needed Please buy the edition recommend below to avoid discrepancy with page numbers. No kindle edition please.
