What is the course about?
In this class, gentle classical yoga postures are combined with breathing and movement to energise you and help to de- stress the mind and body. Relaxation, meditation and visualisation are taught and practised. The emphasis is on everybody working at their own pace in a relaxed and non-competitive atmosphere. - A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart

What will we cover?
The class will start with relaxation and joint movement exercises to prepare the body and mind for the classical yoga posture practice. The course is progressive, with various options and adaptations provided, and you'll be encouraged to work at your own level, taking rests whenever you need to. Some yoga equipment will be used to support practice.

- Perform basic gentle yoga postures to improve your flexibility, muscle tone, fitness and stamina

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
No prior knowledge or experience of yoga is needed. The postures are gentle and adapted versions are provided. Beginners are very welcome. You will need to be able to read and write short sentences, follow verbal instructions, observe and copy physical movements and use spatial awareness.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
No. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing. Postures are performed barefoot but you may wear non-slip socks if you prefer. You would need to have a non-slip mat to practice on and if youdon't have yoga props, like blocks, beltsand bolsters, you can use cushions, folded blanket and a chair.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
Advice on further activities or courses to suit your individual level will be provided. Students are encouraged to practise the techniques at home, or you may wish to progress to a Beginners Yoga course.
