German 2/3: get ready for term 2

In this lively workshop, you will practise word order in context to get you ready for term 2. Suitable if you have studied German for a minimum of two years.


What is the course about?

In this course, you will be practising subordinate and main clauses using the communicative approach.

What will we cover?

- subordinate clauses with "wenn, dass, weil, obwohl".
- main clauses with "und, denn, aber, oder".

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

be more confident using the correct word order in subordinate and main clauses in the present tense and in the perfect.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is aimed at students who have studied German for at least two years. A2

It is also essential that you have some knowledge of basic grammar terminology such as: a verb, a noun and conjugation. It would be helpful if you had knowledge of more intermediate grammar terminology such as: dative, accusative, subordinate and main clause.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Communicative. Some grammar might be explained in English.

No. Material will be provided by tutor.

When I've finished, what course can I do next?

2 lower,module 2 or 3; 2 upper or 3 lower depending on your experience. You can also do other grammar workshops on Fridays.
