Sarah has been teaching languages for over 20 years, both in the UK and abroad. A passionate Germanist, she studied German and European Studies at the University of Manchester, including a year of study at the Freie Universität Berlin. She fell in love with the city and returns often. She also teaches French and Spanish. After five years living and working in Beijing, she can speak rusty Mandarin, enough to discuss her family and her work, order food and get around town. Sarah discovered City Lit as a student and liked it so much that she applied for a job here. As well as teaching languages, Sarah also has a small private practice in dance movement psychotherapy. She is particularly interested in using embodied practices, movement, and creativity, to support wellbeing.
