About History

We offer an extraordinary range of courses, from the most popular subjects to the completely unique.  Many of our tutors are nationally recognised in their fields, including published authors, and practising professionals in the media.

As a learner you can also benefit from our partnerships with organisations such as the British Film Institute and close links with The British Museum, the London Transport Museum and many others.

Choosing the right course

The majority of our courses are suitable for all levels of experience, but if a bit of prior knowledge is required, we will put that information in the detailed course description.

If you'd like to speak to the Humanities Team about our history, culture and writing course offer, you can call us Monday to Friday, 10am-5pm on 020 7492 2717, and we'd be happy to help.

If you would like to speak to one of the course co-ordinators for detailed advice about a specific course, or if you need to check your level before booking your place, a member of the teaching staff will be available to speak to you every week at the following times:

Wednesdays 17.30-18.30

Thursdays 12.30-13.30

You don’t need to book an appointment. Simply come along to our building on Keeley Street, go to the first floor and ask at the Enquiry Desk which room the Humanities Advice Session is being held in.
