Alex received his PhD in international history from the London School of Economics where he has been teaching classes on the international history of the 20th century, the Cold War, transatlantic relations, and European integration. His research deals with the rise of Europe as an increasingly cohesive diplomatic actor and its effect on the relation with the United States.
