Kensington - Victoria and Albert museum and development of area The City - Trade and Dickens Westminster - Power and Politics Pimlico - Tate Britain, social housing and development The West End - Victorians at Play Kings Cross/St. Pancras - Transport and Trade East End - Slums and Crime.
What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
understand the impact of the Victorian age on London identify key Victorian buildings have a more detailed knowledge of nineteenth century history have a more detailed knowledge of key figures, events and movements that shaped the Victorian age.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
No particular skills required. An interest in London. An abilitiy to participate in a moderately paced walk and access the first Zoom lecture.
