What is the course about?

Transferable skills are said to be the new currency in the world of work for the new decade. The volatile post covid economic landscape, together with continuing quick shifts in technology and markets, mean that organisations have to respond quickly to survive. Employers seek flexible individuals with transferable skills both from within their organisation, and from outside the organisation in the form of contract, freelance or self-employed workers. They seek people who can be taken on quickly to do a piece of work, or who can move easily across job roles and departments and take on multiple roles simultaneously. So, as an employed or self-employed individual, recognising your own unique transferable skills and talents will give you the confidence to promote your skills to others, and will help you spot opportunities which are a good fit, thereby increasing your employability in this new career landscape.

What will we cover?

• Why recognising your transferable skills and natural talents is so important to maintain your employability in the current economic climate
• How transferable skills and talents can help your career flourish
• Identifying natural transferable skills and talents
• Communicating your skills and talents to others effectively.

What will I achieve?

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
