What is the course about?

City Lit invites you to join us for an event with Hallie Rubenhold to celebrate the publication of her new book, Story of a Murder: The Wives, The Mistress and Dr Crippen. The conversation will be hosted by City Lit Principal Mark Malcomson CBE and will focus on Hallie's latest work. Story of a Murder offers a feminist retelling of the infamous true-crime story of Dr Crippen, the notorious wife-murderer of Edwardian England. The meticulously researched narrative delves into the late Victorian and Edwardian era, class aspirations, the transatlantic world, and a significant period of social revolution for women.

Following the conversation, guests are invited to participate in an audience Q&A. The event will conclude with a drinks reception and book signing.
