Join us for a festive walk in the footsteps of Scrooge, looking at the locations and impact of Dickens’s most famous work. We will also examine how Dickens’s story has influenced our ideas of Christmas.

Dickens's tale of ghosts, redemption and Christmas, has thrilled and chilled audiences since its publication in 18443.The story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the miserable miser and his transformation over the Christmas period has become a perennial festive favourite. We will explore the actual byways and alleyways of the novella, and how Dickens’s vision of Christmas has influenced our own Yuletide Traditions. We’ll look at the locations, themes & characters from cheery Bob Cratchit through the ghastly ghosts to tender-hearted Tiny Tim. ”God bless us, everyone!”
