Exploring your voice and creating new music using your voice.
What will we cover?
We will listen to different songs using the voice from around the world. You will work towards creating a new piece of music in a group, using our voices. Learning and improving performance skills. We perform throughout the year at City Lit.
What will I achieve? By the end of this course you should be able to...
Contribute to composing a new piece of music. Perform an original piece of music. Work in a group to perform to an audience.
You will negotiate with the tutor more specific outcomes, based on the above, to suit your ability and experience.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
The course is for students with learning disabilities, you must have an ability in singing.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Discovering music and culture in your own way from listening Group discussion The tutor will demonstrate singing Practice singing melodies. Group workshops to create a new song.
