Working with paper stencil, block printing on unfired clay, biscuit and glazed surfaces, you will create pattern and images with slips, oxides, glaze and on-glaze enamels on simple moulded forms and tiles.

Gain an insight into how massage can alleviate stress and promote relaxation and healing through touch. Learn the basic techniques and how you can perform this therapy on family and friends. Suitable for those at an interest level or wishing to progress to accredited ITEC courses.

Do you want to improve your communication skills and become more confident speaking, listening, reading and writing English? This course will help you develop all your English language skills so you can act confidently in the most important everyday situations inside and outside work. You will become a skilled communicator when writing, using digital resources and in face-to-face interactions. You will develop your active listening skills so you can understand and empathise better. You will work on how to express yourself when speaking in different situations. You will practise your reading so you can see the whole picture and find details, make effective decisions about what you read, and prioritise matters. By the end of this three-term programme, you will be a competent speaker, listener, reader and writer both at work and home and ready to do exams such as Functional Skills Level 2.

Are you new to yoga? This beginners' class offers a chance to develop and improve your body and breath awareness, posture, strength and flexibility, and practise relaxation techniques to help you release tension.

Build your confidence in tackling more personal, complex drawings. Further explore observational drawing and visual language. Develop your drawing skills by working with different approaches and exploring a range of artists' drawing process.

Learn how to write elegant letterforms using a pointed pen with ink. Once you have learnt how to write a basic copperplate alphabet, we will begin breaking the rules of traditional calligraphy to find a style that is all your own. The course is suitable for beginners as well as improvers, and both left-handers and right-handers.

An ensemble ukulele class with individual parts. For experienced players who read chord symbols and tablature, although tab reading is not a mandatory requirement. Challenging and fun - the music/repertoire will be tailored to your various abilities.

Improve your lower intermediate French on this lively interactive course. The emphasis will be on developing your speaking and listening skills and on learning more about the French speaking world. The course is suitable if you have recently completed a 'French 2 upper: module 1' course or equivalent.

This is the third term in our beginners piano programme. If you have completed ‘Piano/keyboards 1B’ or have existing keyboard and music reading skills, this course will further develop your technique and musicianship.
