Revise, consolidate and improve your listening and speaking skills on this lively course, which will help you communicate more confidently in daily life situations. Ideal if you are doing 'Spanish 2 lower', 'Spanish 2 upper' or have an equivalent level (A2 level).

Do you feel like a refresh or a fresh start? This 8 week course will help you tackle fears around stammering while working on personal goals, within a supportive group. There will be a focus on exploring more of your natural expressiveness and spontaneity, while challenging beliefs and habits that you wish to tackle. You will also have opportunities to review your strategies, stretch your comfort zones and build your confidence.

Join us for an energetic and intensive introduction to Salsa. Learn the essential steps and technique in this fun and friendly short course. No need to bring a partner, part of the fun is meeting new people but most of all learning a new dance style whilst having a good time.

Develop your physicality while further enhancing your understanding of contemporary dance, through technical exercises, dynamic travelling and fluid phrases. This class is appropriate for people who are ready to move on from the beginners course or who have previous dance experience.

Learn how to reduce tension and move with more ease, and notice improvements in your mobility, posture, breathing, balance, coordination and quality of life.



This course is delivered in-person at City Lit.

Discover the gentle, graceful movements of Yang-style T'ai Chi in classes. Learn and develop clear, powerful and effective practice designed to give you a good grounding in T'ai Chi and an insight into its wonderful possibilities. Please note that this course is not suitable for complete beginners in T'ai Chi.

Are you working in an office and need to improve your communication skills? Would you like to become an administrator but feel your written English is holding you back? This course will help you become a confident, flexible and successful communicator in writing, in person, on the phone and online. You will work on using the right language for written documents and for when speaking to colleagues, managers, customers, in meetings and on the phone. You will focus on different levels of formal and informal communication and how to speak and write clearly and concisely, with appropriate tone e.g. in emails and letters on a PC. You will also work on how to lay out key documents using Word, spell well and punctuate correctly. You will also start to learn about the cloud and how to use key parts of Microsoft 365. By the end of this course, you will confident you can work successfully in an office environment.

This Contemporary dance class is a dynamic and fun experience based on the principles of Release-technique and some playful explorations. Simple movement phrases and tasks are built upon to develop greater awareness of the body in space and in relation to others. Floor, centre and travelling exercises lead to efficiency of movement, rhythmical and free-flowing dance sequences.
