This friendly and structured reading club is designed for post-beginners of Irish (typically with 1-2 years of study). Using a guided reading approach, the course focuses on pronunciation and vocabulary development through short, accessible texts. Sessions are supportive and interactive, helping learners build confidence in reading aloud and understanding Irish in context.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is suitable for learners at CEFR A1-A2 level. You should be able to:
Understand and use familiar basic everyday expressions and basic phrases
Participate in basic conversations on familiar topics
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Before class: You’ll be asked to read a short section of the text to prepare.
In class: We’ll explore the text together, focusing on vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar through pair work, group discussion, and tutor-led activities.
Outside class: Optional vocabulary review and pronunciation practice.
