What is the course about?

The course aims to revise all the program covered during the 3 modules of the Italian 3 Lower level. The grammar topics will not be covered from scratch, but there will be practice and a chance to clear up your doubts and strengthen your grasp of grammar through role plays, discussions, exercises, listenings and home writing tasks. After the course you should feel more confident about moving to Italian 3 Upper. It is also appropriate for learners already in Italian 3 Upper who feel that some revision would serve them well.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
- Earphones/headphones/speakers.
We will contact you with joining instructions before your course starts.

What will we cover?

We will cover the grammar related to 3 Lower modules 1, 2 and 3 along with some key grammar and vocabulary from earlier in your study of Italian. Learners will be able to suggest areas to cover where they feel they would benefit from a revision.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

By the end of the course, you’ll have a clearer understanding of some fairly advanced grammar, and you’ll have more confidence in your speaking and writing when using these grammatical structures. Luca is from Piemonte, in the north west of Italy. He studied Media and Communications at the University of Turin and moved to London in 2009. In 2014, he spent some time in Delhi, India, where he worked in the library of the Italian Cultural Centre, rediscovered his love for Italian literature and decided to become a language teacher. He retrained the following year, earning a Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults, and has been teaching ever since. He has been teaching Italian at City Lit since 2018. He likes to create a relaxed and fun environment in the classroom, so that all students can participate, learn and have a good time. Here is what some of Luca’s students have said about him: “Luca is informative and knowledgeable and explains everything clearly. He makes the lessons fun and is, above all, patient.” SUE “Luca is an excellent teacher. He is lively and makes learning fun at the same time as being very clear on grammar rules and pronunciation.” SANDIE “We were all nervous about changing to online classes, but Luca has turned Zoom into a really effective place to learn. We laugh a lot, learn new skills (not just Italian) and have become great friends.” CATHERINE
