This course is for learners who have completed two or three modules (terms) of beginners Italian and who wish to take stock of what they've learnt so far, revising key grammar and vocabulary so they can move on to their next course with more confidence.

What is the course about?
This course aims to further increase your confidence by consolidating previous knowledge and practising a wider variety of everyday life situations. You'll cover key vocabulary and grammar topics that will enable you to revise this year's learning and start the next term with full confidence.
What will we cover?
You'll revise some of the main areas of beginners Italian: verb conjuations, articles, prepositions, pronouns, etc. You'll also have a chance to revise some key areas of vocabulary.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is intended for learners on beginners courses, ideally those have completed two or three terms of first-year Italian.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
Our courses are characterised by spoken interaction and communication. Typical activities include pair work, group work, role plays and games. A range of resources will be used to support your learning including presentations, hand-outs, and audio-visual material.
Homework is highly recommended to consolidate learning.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
There is no course book for this course, though the tutor will be making reference to Nuovo Espresso 1, which is the course book for our first-year Italian courses.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
Italian 2 lower: module 1 in September.
