Are you completely new to computers and the Internet? This course will help you get started on using a computer and the internet. You will learn all the basics and the key terms you need to starting becoming confident on a computer and online. You will learn about different files and how to create and save them. You will learn how to write and send simple letters and emails. You will develop your internet skills so you can find information and complete online forms. Finally, you do all of this while learning how to remain safe online and to keep your files secure.

This course will help you be more secure in your professional, academic or creative writing skills and help you improve some of your weak areas around forming and punctuating sentences with appropriate grammatical form. You will develop your confidence in the most essential areas of writing including different sentence structures, writing paragraphs, using punctuation effectively, using active and passive voices and proofreading.

Learn Arabic in the heart of London on this lively classroom-based course.







This course is designed for beginners who have little or no prior knowledge of Arabic. It focuses on developing basic speaking and listening skills in Modern Standard Arabic (MSA), the standardised form of Arabic used in formal settings, media, and literature. The course will introduce students to essential vocabulary and grammar structures, with a focus on practical communication in everyday situations.

Happy endings are hard won in fifties’ musicals and The End is where they were heading. MGM was the studio of musicals in the 1950s. During this decade other studios presented only occasional musicals. The musical was big business for Hollywood in the 1950s and so was the western, so bringing them together made sense. Annie Get Your Gun had been a big success for MGM so Warner Bros. decided to get a piece of the action with Calamity Jane (1953 David Butler with Doris Day). Judy Garland was sacked by MGM in 1951, then followed Joan Crawford to Warner Brothers where she staged a big comeback in, fittingly, A Star is Born (1954 George Cukor). Oklahoma (1955 Fred Zinnemann) and Carousel (1956 Henry King) from 20th Century Fox introduced Shirley Jones. And don’t forget Leonard Bernstein’s score for On the Waterfront (1954) that anticipated West Side Story (1961).
