Do you want to learn the digital skills needed for office and administration work? On this course, you will focus on completing the keys tasks required to be a business administrator. You will learn how to produce high quality and well-presented documents such as minutes, formal letters and flyers using Word. You will develop your skills in producing presentations with PowerPoint that are visually appealing, modern and effective. You will also work in depth on how to use Excel and Access for data handling, processing and analysing, including how to enter and edit data, arrange and present it effectively, make calculations and highlights data trends.

Consolidating the experience gained in year 1 of CLFA, you will pursue a more individual, self-motivated route, resulting in a body of work that reflects your own interests. You will have one-to-one tutorials and production sessions that allow you explore and refine your creative skills, plus seminars and lectures in which you will engage with new ideas and contexts; all delivered by experienced, practising artists. Basic materials are provided for working in the City Lit studios, but you may be required to source your own specialist materials, depending on your choices.

Build an individual fine art practice by exploring painting, drawing, sculpture, print, digital media and contextual studies, across a series of structured projects in live on-line and studio based classes. Weekly on-line participation from home (or your own workspace) is combined with fortnightly attendance at the City Lit studios. Regular group discussions and tutorials will help you adopt an independent and experimental approach to your work.You will be expected to keep up with current art practice and exhibitions, on-line and/or in your locality.
The course can be taken for personal creative development, or act as a bridge between adult short courses and entry to undergraduate and postgraduate Fine Art courses. Basic materials are provided for working in the city Lit studios, but you may be required to source your own specialist materials, depending on your choices. Each term will include one additional off-site gallery visit or external activity, dates subject to opportunites.
