Our emphasis is on speaking and listening skills so that you can begin communicating quickly in Italian. Once you've completed this course you can continue with 'Italian beginners: module 2.'.

Continue learning to speak Japanese on this condensed course for near beginners. The emphasis is on developing your listening and speaking skills. Suitable if you have completed beginners module 2 or have actively studied Japanese for 6 months recently.

Learn to write for the screen on this practical, introductory course. Writing exercises, presentations and screenings will teach you key skills, and you’ll begin to produce work and an outline for a full-length project.

Have you started work on your novel? This course is suitable for experienced creative writers who want to make progress with a novel draft. Learn more about the art of novel writing and move your project forward in a supportive workshop environment.

A near-beginners’ course for pianists. If you have completed Piano/keyboards 1A or and have basic keyboard and music reading skills in C position, this course will introduce you to more notes.

For experienced writers, this supportive but rigorous workshop offers the perfect opportunity to develop your novel or short story. Receive in-depth feedback and benefit from detailed group discussions on the art of fiction.

Want to have a go at creative writing in a supportive environment? Join one of these introductory courses. Guided exercises will give you the tools to explore language creatively and find your own writing voice.

Explore practical and imaginative approaches to creative non fiction, including travel writing, life writing and the essay. Analyse published work, produce your own pieces, and benefit from detailed feedback.

For experienced players, our third year of study will develop your rhythmic playing and your interpretation of chord charts using bar chords, mobile scales, bass lines and melody work. Vast and varied repertoire. Playing techniques can apply to acoustic and electric guitar.

This course is for flautists with at least three years’ experience, or grade 3-5 standard, to advance their solo and ensemble playing in a variety of musical styles. Develop your instrumental technique, tone and musicianship in a creative and supportive environment. Break week 30th October 2025.
