What is the course about?

This is a practical course where you will learn how to correctly apply Kinesio tape.

What will we cover?

- History of Kinesio taping
- How it works and what is commonly used for
- How to apply and safely remove, contraindications or anything that may need to be taken into consideration
- Discuss and show different types of taping for common injuries you may encounter.
- Show how to change the tape to help mechanical to lymphatic problems.

What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...

Tape a patient or yourself for either an injury, mechanical correction or lymphatic problems.

What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?

This course is aimed at body work professionals to acupuncturists that would like to explore a new skill to helpclients

You should be able to follow simple written and verbal instructions to support demonstrations, hand-outs and for health and safety information, and will be invited to take part in group discussion. You should be able to use numbers and be able to do simple measurements and calculations.
Please look at the rest of the course outline carefully to decide if you may benefit from support in your English and Maths skills to help you to take part fully in this class.

How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?

Power points, visual learning with demonstrations and then you will be given the opportunity to work with another person to administer the tape.

Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?

Notebook/pen for your own notes.
Wear loose fitting clothing for practical exercises.
