What is the course about?
Working with the Tibetan Relaxation & Yoga tradition of Kum Nye. Using the popular text ‘The Joy of Being’ we’ll explore, using our senses and awareness, meditation, movement and relaxation.

- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart
phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.

What will we cover?
We will explore some exercises from the Kum Nye Tibetan Yoga Tradition, including massage, movement exercises, breathing exercises, visualisations, meditation, discussion and reflection.
What will I achieve?
By the end of this course you should be able to...
- Define Kum Nye and discuss the Tibetan definition of Joy
- Experience the effects of thorough relaxation.
- Appreciate the importance of relaxation in relation to awareness.
- Practice basic breathing exercises.
- Practise some basic Kum Nye exercises promoting a release and/or balancing of energy.
- Share experiences and ideas.
What level is the course and do I need any particular skills?
This course is suitable to anyone in basic good health. No experience required, though for those with experience of Kum Nye Yoga previously it can be used to broaden your experience and for meditation students it can help you with exploring new ways to approach your practice.
How will I be taught, and will there be any work outside the class?
This class will be taught online.
Exercises will be demonstrated by the tutor, then practiced as a group. Group discussion.
Are there any other costs? Is there anything I need to bring?
You may wish to bring a notepad. Clothes suitable for movement are recommended (not jeans!). A short reading list is available on request. Handouts will be provided.
When I've finished, what course can I do next?
You may wish to consider yoga classes, Tai Chi or meditation classes. Future Kum Nye classes may be planned.
