What is the course about?

Satire is vital to making sense of a mad world - and London is very good at it. From pricking the pomposity of politicians & ridiculing the rakish to lambasting the ludicrous, London has some of the best examples of these vicious vignettes.
Using literature, poetry, plays & above all caricature & cartoons, this course looks at the history of satire in London & examines some of the stories behind the jokes.

This is a live online course. You will need:
- Internet connection. The classes work best with Chrome.
- A computer with microphone and camera is best (e.g. a PC/laptop/iMac/MacBook), or a tablet/iPad/smart phone/iPhone if you don't have a computer.
