Gaelic (Scottish) is a Celtic language still spoken in many parts of Scotland with over 87,000 people having knowledge of the language. Although it is the founding language of Scotland, it is thought to originate from Ireland.

At City Lit we offer opportunities for learning Scottish Gaelic with lessons for all levels. At beginner level we introduce you to the language and culture through basic communication structures and patterns. As you progress to intermediate and advanced level courses, you will improve your elementary knowledge and become a fluent Gaelic speaker. Our expert tutors will help you achieve your goals in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere surrounded by like-minded students.
